REAFFIRMING BIG HEARTS IN SMALL TOWNS!!!
Once again our town has overwhelmed us with their involvement and their generosity. The Third Annual RACH (Rallying Against Cancer Hardcore) three pitch tournament, fish fry, silent auction and beer tent with some amazing entertainment was an incredible success raising over $56,000 for brain tumor research at Princess Margaret Hospital. In total since we began the tournament we have raised over $150,000. This town should be proud of that accomplishment. The spirit in our town is overwhelming and we have proven time and again that if people work together: no matter how big or small their contribution is, they can and will and are make a big difference. The Rosseau Road Rebels were jostled from their perch as back to back winners being replaced by the Noschmoes, another local team. Though thanks has been sent to all donors, and displayed both at the tournament and again in the window at Ritchie Insurance it all would have been for naught without all of our dedicated committee members and countless volunteers who put in endless hours during the tournament weekend. This year we were able to accommodate 32 teams from all over and a lot of great baseball was played. Thank you to all of you who have and who continue to support this worthy cause. Those big hearts in our small town just keep on beating.
